I'm so sorry to hear this sad news as well, even though I have never been there. Never the less, I have heard so many wonderful things about the Sit 'N' Bull, and had hope to one day be a part of all the wonderful atmosphere and entertainment.

Ted - I spent many a night playing darts and listening to some of the greatest and most influential music around. I was lucky enough to play there myself for a few years. Your friendship to me and kindness to my family means more than I can express here. Much luck in your future - stay in touch.

I have only been a few times, but WHAT A PLACE!! Don't know if anything can ever replace it. Ted, your place had it all.......

Ted, Along with all the others, I am sad to hear about the closing of the Bull. Thank you for making it a place that so many of us loved. You added a real personal touch to a business that can be so impersonal. You always made me feel so welcome, even though you barely knew me. I guess I'm kind of a fair weather friend; I don't live close by, but came in whenever I could to see my faves -- Ronnie Earl and Kim Wilson. I'll never forget the many times Ronnie would play his guitar while meandering between the tables. For me, the best adjective I have for the Bull is that it was "comfortable". In a world becoming increasingly corporate, the Bull was like home. Great beer, great food, great music, great friends, and even Uncle Junior! What more could you ask?

This is truly sad news. We have enjoyed the Sit 'n Bull as our local pub and music venue for 20 years. We celebrated many nights of fine music, food & beer, including our bachelor/ette party (1988), and countless Pilgrim Ale celebrations (yes, you were the first local establishment to pour Pilgrim and support our local brewery). We know how hard you, your family, and staff worked to keep the 'Bull a great venue. Thanks for all the great times; we treasure the memories and your friendship. Keep in touch. We look forward to your next endeavour. Cheers!

Every so often, Liberalism fumbles the ball. I am sorry to hear that your fine establishment has to close due to the lunacy of stage manager and stage hand in another State in 2003. Thank you for the memories and I wish you well in your future endeavors.
